Chumoukedima, Nagaland, March 19 (HBTV): The ‘emergency meeting’ of organizations from the eastern regions of Nagaland is currently underway at the CKS Hall in Tuensang town.

The meeting comes amid heightened expectations about new developments taking place in regard to the demand for a separate administration for the eastern regions of Nagaland.

At press time, the 20 eastern Nagaland legislators, and member of the Rajya Sabha have been asked to attend the meeting. Earlier, the event was postponed due to the legislators' visit to Delhi.

The highly anticipated gathering between the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) and the Eastern Nagaland Legislature’s Union has however been marked by a notable absence. Despite the eager anticipation, not a single member of the ENLU showed up, leaving the meeting devoid of key participants from the legislative body.

Among those present at the meeting were figures such as S Pangnyu Phom, former ENLU chairman, and T Yangseo Sangtam, a former member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

Additionally, leaders representing various frontal organizations across the ENPO’s area attended the occasion.
